Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the RiseTwice mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
RiseTwice is operated by RiseTwice, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization ("we," "us," or "our").
Description of Service
RiseTwice provides a mental health support platform that includes:
- 24/7 access to AI-powered chat support grounded in evidence-based clinical modalities
- Weekly review of anonymized progress by licensed mental health professionals
- Personalized voice guidance based on your progress
Our Service is designed to provide accessible mental health support and is not a replacement for professional therapy, counseling, or medical treatment.

Not Emergency Services
RiseTwice is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of suicide or self-harm, or any emergency, please immediately contact:

Our Service is not designed or equipped to handle emergencies. Do not use RiseTwice as a substitute for emergency care.
Not a Replacement for Professional Treatment
The Service provides mental health support but does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI-powered chat and voice guidance from licensed professionals are supportive tools, not replacements for in-person therapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment. Always consult with qualified healthcare providers for medical or mental health conditions.
No Therapist-Patient Relationship
Use of the Service does not create a therapist-patient, doctor-patient, or other clinical relationship between you and RiseTwice or any licensed professional who reviews your anonymized progress.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have reviewed these Terms with a parent or guardian and have their consent to use the Service. We reserve the right to request verification of age or parental consent at any time.
Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Subscription and Billing
Subscription Plans
RiseTwice offers subscription-based access to the Service. Current pricing and plan details are available on our website and within the app.
Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
In-App Purchases
If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, billing is managed by the respective platform, and their terms apply. To cancel, you must do so through the platform's subscription management settings.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Upload malicious code or content
- Use the Service to harm, threaten, or harass others
- Misrepresent your identity or age
- Use the Service in any way that violates these Terms
User Content and Privacy
Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you provide through the Service, including chat messages. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, process, and store your content as necessary to provide and improve the Service, including for anonymized professional review.
Anonymization and Review
As described in our Privacy Policy, your chat content is anonymized before review by licensed professionals. You have the ability to review and redact content before it is shared for professional review.

Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, content, design, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by RiseTwice or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR EFFECTIVENESS OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT OR GUIDANCE PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RISETWICE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RiseTwice and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Modifications to Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RiseTwice regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
Apple App Store Additional Terms
The following terms apply to your use of the RiseTwice application ("Licensed Application") downloaded from the Apple App Store. These terms are required by Apple and supplement the terms above.
Acknowledgement
You and RiseTwice acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and RiseTwice only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). RiseTwice, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content. These Terms may not provide for usage rules that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Scope of License
The license granted to you for the Licensed Application is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Licensed Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the Licensed Application may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
Maintenance and Support
RiseTwice is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application, as specified in these Terms or as required under applicable law. You and RiseTwice acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application.
Warranty
RiseTwice is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the Licensed Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be RiseTwice's sole responsibility.
Product Claims
You and RiseTwice acknowledge that RiseTwice, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and/or use of the Licensed Application, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with the Licensed Application's use of HealthKit or HomeKit frameworks, if applicable.
Intellectual Property Rights
You and RiseTwice acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of the Licensed Application infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, RiseTwice, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-Party Terms of Agreement
You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Licensed Application. For example, you must not be in violation of your wireless data service agreement when using the Licensed Application.
Third-Party Beneficiary
You and RiseTwice acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
